I have a severe case of The Mondays.
It all started with the alarm clock, which I was not ready for. I just wanted to sleep... a LONG time. So when I finally crawled out of bed at 6:45, my shower went slower than it should have. You know, I'd probably save more water if I would just shower at night, because most times when I take one in the morning, I'm moving in slow motion.
After getting to work late, I got on the internet and surfed for a while. I'm waiting for photos for one job, bids back for another and the go-ahead to send another, so I've just been kind of moping around the office all morning. It doesn't help that I'm trying to be a good mommy-to-be by not inhaling my usual mug of coffee first thing in the morning. I need caffeine!
We had a great weekend with "the crew" that Chris graduated with, who also read and write blogs all day like me (well, not all day - we do have work to do). We went to a baseball game, ate some great food and got to catch up a bit. Then Sunday we climbed some rocks... well, I should say I watched while others climbed rocks. I climbed the first one, which was VERY easy as far as rock climbing goes, I'm sure, but I still freaked a little. I kept going, but my long fingernails didn't make for good grips on the rock, so I was just a spectator on the second rock. I will definitely try it again, this time with short fingernails! (BTW, I'm pretty sure you can catch more details about this weekend at The Prettiest Denny's Waitress later on) But our possible next gathering will include tubing and swimming, which makes me extremely happy. Anything having to do with water, I'm there!
But back on to The Mondays... Once everyone left Sunday, I was like a vegetable. We took the dogs to the park to run in a big field, which wore them out as well. So I cuddled with my dogs for about an hour, then with Chris a little while longer. Basically, I just want to go back to doing that right now! And I'm already counting down the days until next weekend. How sad is that?
Oh well, just one more hour before lunchtime. I can make it!

I'm really tired today too. Climbing takes a lot out of you!
We had a great time this weekend too. I think it's great that you're willing to give climbing another try -- it's not my favorite thing to do, but it's more fun in a big group (and when the climbs are relatively easy.)
We will DEFINITELY tube down the river this summer -- yay!
Ugh, sorry you're dragging. I'm feeling unusually alert for a Monday. But I was running at about 10% of my standard energy level for three of the previous four weeks, so I'm due for some productivity.
It was a good weekend, though (thanks for planning it, by the way), so hopefully it was worth the Monday drag.
So, you probably don't want to hear that I am full of energy, which is HIGHLY unusual for a Monday. Hope the rest of the day goes quickly for you!
I hate I missed this weekend. I'll definitely be up for tubing this summer as long as its not during the first two weeks of June.
I know you're trying to lay off the caffeine, which I totally commend, but you should probably start trying to quit the binge drinking and heroin habits as well. I don't think those do so well for fetuses.
Having given up caffeine entirely for two years during college, I can say that it gets easier the longer you do it. Just be glad you aren't like my dad who goes into serious physical withdrawal if he goes more than a couple of hours without a cup of coffee in the morning.
Hope your Tuesday is better!
Yeah, I'll post some pictures in a recap, but Ryan's pics are making me feel a little inadequate. Maybe I'll just steal his.
Tubing is definitely on! And as per Jacob's comment, we're better off waiting for July when the water warms up a bit anyway.
Thanks again for organizing the weekend. It was definitely fun.
I totally understand. I was so tired Tuesday morning that I convinced my just awakened self it was Friday. Boy, was I pissed when I realized it was not.
On top of that, my usual 30 minute drive into work was 60. I took it out on work by not doing any work.
